Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum – Hatteras – at the end of the last paved piece of road in Hatteras by the ferry. Recently renovated. Local history from the discovery of North America, pirates, WWI, WWII to today. 

Hatteras Island Weather Bureau Station – in the Village next to the Red and White on Kohler. Come meet the friendliest volunteer docents in the whole Park Service and learn about the Historic site that received the first distress call from the Titanic. Exercise!

OK, maybe you are on your feet all day for work and just want to relax. I get it, the chairs are by the pool, enjoy! But if you like to walk, run and work out, there are lots of things to do. The beach is amazing, the sidewalks are paved in the village, and you can really get in some miles. If you run on 12 towards Frisco though, be very cautious of distracted drivers.
