Great coffee, tea, smoothies, sweet and savory pastries, and t-shirts. Melissa runs the show, the line moves quickly. They might be closed on Mondays. Dogs welcome outside. Ferry Docks coffee -- At the Ferry Docks in Hatteras Landing, behind the tower, Jenifer and Bryan are serving up great coffee and ice cream.

The Scratch made Snackery – Hatteras – Facebook Page – South to the small red building on the right after the bridge over the creek. Opens early, like 05:30 – 0600 early. They have what you need. Coffee, Pastries, croissants, cheesecakes, breads galore. Get a lemon bar. The Snack Shack – Hatteras - 252.995.9500 Right between the ferry and the Hatteras Landing Maria parking lot. The little cream sickle-colored building. Fantastic fish/shrimp tacos and burgers and they have an amazing fried chicken sandwich, ask for extra pickles. SNACK SHACK

Frisco Sandwich shop – Frisco – On left before Frisco Rod and Gun / Shell station. Fantastic sandwiches made to be eaten with a pile of napkins. All are served with house-made potato chips. Conner’s – Buxton – Facebook Page - North Big Green building. Daily Deli specials, BBQ, cold cuts, and killer chicken salad. Grab and go too. Stop here on your way home so you have good eats and snacks in the car.

Hatteras Man – Making it triumphant return, the Hatteras Man is newly rebuilt and under new management with new menu.

Hatters Village Volunteer Fire Department – Hatteras – In the heart of the village. Saturday night traditional Carolina fish fry. Fresh local fried fish with all the trimmings. Served up by the locals. Proceeds support the fire rescue services in the village. Collectible T-shirts and sweatshirts too.
